Brooms on the loose

On 30th October 2015 our school celebrated Hallloween.
This year we decided to promote a broom contest. The students were challenged to make a witch's broom with a real broom and decorate it with recyclable materials. Many students loved the idea and participated with enthusiasm. Students from the 5th grade to the 9th grade joined the contest. Moreover, some 9th grade students decided to make some delicious Halloween Themed cakes and cookies.
I think all the students loved this Halloween.
It was really fun!

Interviewing our brooms contest winner
Here we are to talk with Rosa, the winner of the brooms contest, and Nicolau, one of the participants.
Interviewer - Rosa, how do you feel about winning the brooms contest?
Rosa - It's very good.
Interviewer - And Nicolau, did you think you could win?
Nicolau - Of course not. I just participated for the fun of it.
Interviewer - What materials did you two use to build your brooms?
Rosa - I used a broomstick, an old handlebar, a light and straw.
Nicolau - I just used a broomstick and straw.
Interviewer – Did you two enjoy participating?
Rosa - Yes.
Nicolau - Yes.
Interviewer - Next year will you two participate again?
Rosa - Yes.
Nicolau - I don’t think so.
Interviewer - So, Nicolau and Rosa, thank you very much and have a good day. Bye.
